Senior C# ASP.NET MVC Developer – Northampton

We have an exciting new role for a Senior Developer to be involved in the development and maintenance of a business critical web application.

Main Accountabilities

·Develop and maintain new and existing software programs

·Take an active role in the specification of software projects, assisting stakeholders where needed.

·Clearly and regularly communicate with management and colleagues.

·Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization, trouble shooting and resolving issues.

·Protect customer data from outside infiltration through encryption, secure data storage and other necessary means

·Other ad-hoc duties as required by the Head of IT

Experience, qualifications

·Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

·5+ years experience in web and software development

Required Skills

You must be able to demonstrate a competency with the following

·Microsoft .Net Framework / C#

·ASP.NET – WebForms, MVC, Web API

·Entity Framework / Code First

·Database (SQL Server) – Ability to design and appropriately modify table schema and stored procedures

·Javascript

·Source control / TFS

·Good coding practices incorporating modern design patterns

·IIS

Desirable Skills

·UI design

·Xamarin Forms

·SQL Server maintenance

·Windows Server
