Job Description
As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a number of NAV Solutions/Projects. Ideally being involved in the presales process right through to the completion of the project and the handover to Support. You will also remain a useful contact for both Account Management and Support but only as a point of reference. You will be expected to keep your technical skills up to date and be a reference for both the Development & Consulting teams on technical matters.
As a Senior Solution Architect, you will work closely with the NAV Technical & Development Manager to ensure that the Development team have the required skills & knowledge as well as an understanding of the best practices that K3 need to employ around solution designs. Developing training plans and courses to improve the team’s knowledge. This role will also involve working with the Sales team to ensure that any sales opportunities are validated from a solution point of view and can be delivered successfully to our clients.
A good understanding of NAV and associated technologies is essential for this role.

The Role
- Be a champion for technical solutions on the Microsoft platform with a keen understanding of Dynamics NAV development practices, and a good knowledge of other development techniques
- Provide capability to develop sector-specific templates to enhance the out of the box Dynamics NAV functionality, giving a unique selling point and also a resaleable asset
- Deliver high-quality development services to clients
- Work closely with the architecture team to design and develop our most complex customer needs, providing development only where these requirements cannot be met through configuration
- Creating high quality and sustainable client solutions and project documentation
- Deliver training needs to the team and coach junior staff members
- Deliver all consultancy according to documented project methodology, ensuring that all software applications are implemented successfully according to the project plan
- Meet and exceed customer expectations of business knowledge, skills and behaviour
- Identify business/project risk and mitigate or communicate as necessary
- Communicate progress updates to relevant parties both formally and informally
- Participate in pre-sales activities as requested
- Support practice development activities such as defining and configuring industry-specific templates
- Carry out additional duties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by Directors
- In all activities, ensure timely completion of internal processes and mandatory training
- Represent the business professionally and positively at all times.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience with Dynamics NAV up to the latest versions
- Broad Dynamics NAV module understanding covering all core modules and additional add-on solutions
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Direct experience in consultancy and solution architecture within a Microsoft Gold Partner environment
- Track record of Dynamics NAV implementation experience either as a team member or team leader
- Knowledge of NAV implementation and end to end implementation
- Experience with NAV interfacing and integration
- Expertise in gathering technical requirement
- Beneficial to know Agile and Sure Step methodologies
- Experience in other technologies such as D365, SQL, PowerBI, SSAS, SharePoint along with knowledge of Azure, LCS, and .Net;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with well-developed interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to clients and colleagues
- Strong personal organisation and time management skills
- Committed to personal development in technical, functional and broader consulting skills
